Our Factory
Our factory is committed to producing the highest quality and finest macadamia nuts in the world. The local climatic conditions are conducive to sustainable and vigorous macadamia nut growth. Through years of experience with cultural care practices such as fertilization, irrigation, pest and weed control have been developed to efficiently produce cost effective, high quality macadamia nuts.
In Hawaii, the macadamia nut harvesting period begins in late July and continues through February and possibly beyond. Macadamia nuts are harvested either by mechanical tree shakers or by hand. The MacFarms harvesting program is designed to maximize quality of product and integrity of the trees, while at the same time minimizing costs. Once the nut is harvested and transported to the processing plant the macadamias will pass through several steps on its way to creamy white kernel that consumers are accustomed to. It is through this process that the finest grade snack treats are created.
